This year is going to be a good one for fans of the UNC colorway. In March we have already seen the prepared releases of the Air Jordan 1 High and Air Jordan 4 with UNC inspired colorways. Now Jordan Brand releases an Air Jordan 5 UNC especially for the players and staff of the UNC men's soccer team.
Although we are never going to see a global release of this sneaker, this does open up the possibility of an Air Jordan 5 UNC in the future. Previous team inspired colorways on the Air Jordan 5 include the Air Jordan 5 'Oregon' and Air Jordan 5 'Michigan'.
Air Jordan 5 'UNC'
The upper is made of leather in combination with an elephant print. We all know this print from the legendary Air Jordan 3. The elephant print has been given the classic UNC colour. The tongue is made of dark blue suede and is combined with the UNC logo. On the heel you can still find the reliable Nike Air logo. The midsole is colored white to contrast with the upper. A translucent blue outsole completes the look.
