Welcome dear Sneakerjagers! As you surely know, the collaborations of US rapper Travis Scott and Nike are among the most popular sneaker collabs of today. What Run DMC was for the brand with the three stripes back then, Travis Scott is for Nike and the Jordan Brand today. That's why there's no end in sight to these collaborations and detailed images of a new Nike model in the Cactus Jack look have surfaced! We are talking about the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 'Wheat'.
This was the first leak
In this picture, which Travis Scott posted on his Instagram account, the new couple was spotted for the first time. Of course, it was immediately clear that this must be the latest collaboration between him and Nike. After all, the horizontally mirrored Swoosh on the upper is like a trademark of the rapper.
Unfortunately, however, it was not clear whether this was only a sample. In other words, a model that was only produced for visualisation purposes in the conception. (Samples can come onto the market completely differently afterwards).
Two weeks later, detailed pictures of the shoes from insiders suddenly appeared on the internet. We don't want to keep you waiting any longer, so check out the first on-feet pictures before we look at the kicks in detail:

Now that you've seen the first on-feet images of the new Travis Scott x Nike collab, you should already have a first impression of the design. What we can say for sure is that the design really brings some unprecedented features!
So that you understand exactly what we mean, let's not wait any longer and take a detailed look at these gems:
In terms of colour blocking, the new Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 'Wheat' is very simple. We get the complete pair with different yellowish hues. But of course it's the details that count here, which we'll now take you through step by step:
Let's start with the Upper
On the base of the shoes we get a mesh-like material. This is then covered by nubuck leather overlays. Roughly speaking, Travis' design gives us the same overlays of the original AM 1 design, but differences can be found mainly in the side panels. A new pattern was added and placed under the US rapper's distinctive trademark.
Travis Scott has also added some elements to his new design for the Air Max 1 that are reminiscent of hiking boots. The eyelets have been invisibly covered with mesh and small buckles have been sewn above the swoosh and in the heel area under the heel tab.
The Nike branding as well as a Cactus Jack branding have been applied in brown on the yellow heel tab in the shape of a triangle.
Another highlight is the brand new 'Cactus Corporation' logo on the tongue, which stands out with a striking blue colour. The words 'Cactus Corporation' can also be found on the dark brown outsole.
The overpainted window through which the air bubbles are normally visible provides another special feature. Above this, Travis Scott has decided to extend the side panels by adding an additional colour to the midsole. We are eagerly awaiting other colorways in which this effect can be seen better and really comes to the fore.
And now you: What do you think of the new Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 'Wheat'?
In the end, the colorway will certainly be called something else, because 'Wheat' would be a bit too simple. But we didn't promise you too much by saying that there are some super cool details attached here!
Unfortunately there is no release date yet
However, the drop is expected later this year.
