The top 10 most expensive sneakers on StockX 💸

The more exclusive the sneaker, the higher the resell price. We have all grabbed an 'L' on pairs we really wanted. At StockX we get the chance to buy these models for a slightly higher price. With some silhouettes we have to save a bit harder to be able to buy them.

10. Nike SB Dunk Low 'Staple NYC Pigeon' | 304292-011

The Nike SB Dunk Low 'Staple NYC Pigeon' is number ten on the list of the most expensive sneakers on StockX. The release of this Dunk Low took place in 2005. When people heard that this pair was coming out, they formed thick lines at Reed Space, Jeff Staple's shop on the Lower East Side. The lines were so long that the NYPD had to come in to control the chaos. A total of one hundred and fifty pairs were available.

The Nike Dunk Low 'Travis Scott x Playstation' came out to celebrate the release of the Playstation 5. To have a chance to win this sneaker, you had to participate in a raffle. In total, only five people won the raffle and were able to buy this shoe.

8. Nike SB Dunk Low 'Freddy Krueger' | 313170-202

The Nike SB Dunk Low 'Freddy Krueger' is inspired by the character from the movie 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'. The grey and red upper hints at the striped jumper that Freddy always wore. The silver Swoosh hints at Krueger's glove that he used to kill people with. The blood spatter on the overlays then makes sense if you know the story.

The Nike SB Dunk Low 'Paris' came out in August 2003. This pair was designed in collaboration with French painter Bernard Buffet. The illustrations on the overlays were done by Buffet. This colorway was first supposed to be released on the white Dunk Low, but due to high demand it was dropped at several retailers.

The Nike MAG is inspired by the famous scene from 'Back To The Future'. In the second part, Marty McFly takes his time machine, the DeLorean, to the future. In the future, he finds Nike sneakers without laces. As soon as you put your foot in the shoe, it adjusts to your foot. Meanwhile, several remakes have been made.

The Nike SB Dunk High Pro 'FLOM' is inspired by a piece of Futura art called 'For Love or Money'. Futura has played an important role in the graffiti movement in New York City. He started making art in 1970. Together with Nike, one specific piece of art was chosen for this sneaker. In total there are twenty-four pairs of this design.

The Jordan 1 Retro High 'Shinedown Attention Attention' PE was designed for a band called Shinedown from Jacksonville. In 2018, they released their album 'Attention Attention'. On the heel is an exclamation point which is also on the cover of the respective album. This pair was released for Friends & Family.

The Nike SB Dunk Low 'Yellow Lobster' comes from July 2009. This pair was only released for partners of the brand and for SB employees. The employees received a yellow SB Dunk Low with brown speckles and a brown Swoosh. Around the nose is a rubber band, which hints at catching a lobster.

The Jordan 5 Retro 'Sunset' came out in 2006 for the female sneaker fans. The leather upper is all white with a grey tongue. The lining and outsole have a bright orange colour. On the midsole and on the lace lock is another orange tint.

Eight young athletes, the 'Imaginairs', were given the opportunity to design the Nike Air Max Zero. This was the first time the Air Max Zero was redesigned for young athletes. One of these athletes was Lincoln Markham.
