In an era where collaborations are coming at you from every direction, it’s hard to capture the attention of sneaker enthusiasts unless you come up with a collab so unique that people have no choice but to take notice. The partnership between chip brand Lay’s and Saucony is exactly that.
Although the three-piece pack is designed exclusively for the Chinese market, all eyes in Europe are also on the release. Each of the three colorways is inspired by Lay’s flavors. An idea that might sound a bit gimmicky, but thanks to the strong color palette and co-branded details, it’s executed surprisingly well.

The first pair in the collection, the Cohesion 2L, is based on the popular Lay’s Seaweed flavor available in China. The sneaker combines green accents with grey mesh and suede. The Grid Fusion draws inspiration from the Spicy Crayfish flavor and comes in warm brown tones with soft beige details.
Finally, the Trainer 80X makes a bold statement in the recognizable Lay’s yellow, built from layered leather and suede on a gum sole, a direct nod to the classic chip bag.
Every sneaker features the Lay’s logo on the tongue and dubraes. A chip bag hangtag dangles from the eyelets. The sneakers come in a custom shoebox that fully embraces the collaboration.
The Lay’s x Saucony pack is expected to drop exclusively in China at the end of 2025. Of course, the release will later appear on marketplaces like StockX and eBay.
