Tom Sachs releases a new colorway of the NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe (GPS); the "Field Brown. The silhouette was introduced in 2022 and has already appeared in several colorways since its release. With functionality and durability features at its core, the NikeCraft GPS is one of a kind. The 'Field Brown' colorway will appear on February 7, 2023, at Nike.
Tom Sachs and Nike are no strangers to each other. The American artist's works are known for their modern and somewhat comical appearances. In 2019, Tom Sachs came up with the Nike Mars Yard Overshoe, an eye-catching sneaker with a high collar that would allow one to walk on Mars.
The Tom Sachs x NikeCraft GPS 'Field Brown' has a sleek and minimalist look. The upper comes with a combination of materials like mesh and leather. The midsole has a dark brown color and is supported by a black outsole. The outsole has been given a chunky profile that provides grip.
Pull loops are placed on the tongue and heel and make it easier to put the sneaker on. The Nike logo is placed on the tongue. The well-known Swoosh also appears on the center panel and has been given a dark brown color. The asymmetrical overlay on the toecap gives the NikeCraft GPS a playful look.
