There have been many Stüssy x Nike collaborations in recent years. But it all started in 2000, the year Stüssy and Nike had their first collaboration. The two brands released the Stüssy x Nike Air Huarache together with two different colorways. The release was very exclusive and only available at Stüssy's flagship store in London. But there is good news: Stüssy revealed in their Spring '21 Lookbook that the sneakers will make a comeback in 2021!
Original Colorways
The two major brands are releasing the Air Huarache LE in two original colourways: the brown-tinted 'Desert Oak' and the green-tinted 'Dark Olive'. These colours were chosen by Michael Koppelman (Stüssy) and Fraser Cooke (Nike). This collab was unique in that neutral tones were used for a running shoe: the Nike Air Huarache LE. It was also one of the first collaborations between a streetwear and sportswear brand. The Stüssy x Nike collab is still a big inspiration for the current sneaker scene. Their other collaborations have had a big influence as well, such as the Stüssy x Nike Air Force 1 Low which is made of sustainable hemp.
Release Date Stüssy x Nike
It is not yet confirmed when the Stüssy x Nike Air Huarache collab will be released. There are rumours that the 'Desert Oak' will be released at the same time as Stüssy's new Spring '21 collection in February. Thus, the speculated date is February 18, but it remains to be seen whether it is firm or not.
With its green and yellow accents, the 'Dark Olive' is not to be missed. This colorway is expected later, probably in Spring 2021. Stüssy also featured this shoe in their spring collection lookbook, so it's definitely coming.
