The Background Check
"From Beijing To The World", that is the motto of SOULGOODS from Beijing. With its designs, the brand wants to make a part of its culture accessible to the rest of the world. The brand was founded in 2016 by Gming and Yue WU with the aim, among others, of changing the often negative idea of Made in China products in order to present both style and culture differently for a new generation.
One of the brand's icons is the tiger logo, which has now also made it onto the Converse silhouettes. The tiger stands for positive energy in its cultural meaning and like every SOULGOODS style, the new kicks have a story to tell.
"Our aim is to experience the fusion between CULTURE , ART & FASHION for everyone."SOULGOODS Beijing
This is the first time Converse has collaborated with SOULGOODS. As already mentioned, the iconic "Soul Tiger" head logo is also used here. The collaborators have taken on the Chuck Taylor 70 in Hi and the Jack Purcell as silhouettes for this.
Soulgoods X Converse Chuck Taylor 70
The Chuck 70 has been given an orange makeover, with black laces and white accents, such as the sole. The famous Chuck Taylor logo patch on the inside comes here in the style of a tiger's eye, while the model's legendary toe cap is here in black to serve as a tiger's nose.
A print is then printed on the soles from below. It says "From Beijing" and "To The World" in Chinese characters and these words are also immortalised on the tongue.
Soulgoods X Converse Jack Purcell
Named after the badminton player of the same name, the Jack Purcell has been a tribute to the vintage sport for years. The classic kicks were also worn by Monica Geller in the cult series Friends. Today, the kicks are also very popular among skaters and the retro look is totally on trend.
In collab with SOULGOODS we see a grey colorway with two-tone laces in black and white. Once again, the eye and the nose of the tiger are design elements. On the side of the sneaker you see the eye, the toe cap is also the nose here.
We have also listed new sneaker releases for you in our release calendar. There you will find the date, price, raffles and retailer for each new drop as well as sizes and all the other information you need!
