If there’s one brand that keeps delivering one strong collab after another these days, it’s ASICS. After recent releases with names like JJJJound, Cecilie Bahnsen, and Little Tokyo Table Tennis, the Japanese sneaker brand is now teaming up with SHUSHU/TONG.
The duo unveils the Ballerina Pack, consisting of two colorways of the GEL-Kinetic Fluent, although the campaign might just be the most beautiful part of the collaboration.
The label SHUSHU/TONG was founded in 2015 by Liushu Lei and Youtong Jiang in Shanghai and is known for its hyper-feminine designs. The label previously collaborated with ASICS on the GEL-MJ Pack, which featured bow details. This new release also carries their signature style, with a traditional mesh and synthetic leather upper, complemented by lace details around the laces and heel.
The collaboration taps into the popular balletcore and coquette trends that are currently prevalent in the sneaker scene. The collab includes two colorways: ‘White Dive Blue’ and ‘Black Blue Expanse’. The sneakers feature a foam and GEL-cushioned midsole and a tonal rubber outsole.
Knowing SHUSHU/TONG, we already expected the campaign to be a hit. The sneakers are depicted in paintings where ballerinas wear the shoes. Pure art.
The SHUSHU/TONG x ASICS GEL-Kinetic Fluent ‘Ballerina’ pack will drop on August 23, 2025, via ASICS, SHUSHU/TONG, and selected retailers. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for more articles like this.
