On July 29, 2022, the first SNKRS Day release was announced and now we see the second sneaker that's being dropped August 8, 2022. This time it is an Air Max 1 colorway.
The SNKRS app is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year and Nike is celebrating during SNKRS Day. During this day, four liveshows will be hosted by Will and Az. During the liveshows, members can actively participate in various polls and contests will be held.
On July 29, 2022, it was already announced that the Nike Air Force 1 'SNKRS Day' drops during SNKRS Day. This pair has a linen look and is specially designed for the special day. Several details were added to the pair hinting at the app's 5-year anniversary.
Now, Nike is announcing which second sneaker is dropping on August 8, 2022.
Nike Air Max 1 'Tour Yellow' l DX2954-001
The second sneaker to drop during SNKRS Day is the Nike Air Max 1 'Tour Yellow'. The Air Max 1 model celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2022, so a new colorway of this iconic model does not come as a complete surprise. The 'Tour Yellow' features a fresh colorway and combines yellow details throughout the upper.
The upper is coloured white and is made of mesh. The overlays have been given an off-white color and are made of leather. On the center panel the Swoosh appears, this has been given a yellow color. The mudguard also turns yellow and is made of leather. On the heel and tongue, the Nike logo appears. This also colours yellow as well.
In addition to the releases of the two sneakers and the live shows, Nike is also coming out with live broadcasting from several major cities. In these broadcast shows, live SNKRS hosts will talk to sneaker lovers from the community. The app also features several items in which Nike takes a deeper look at the stories behind the community in the respective cities.
