If there’s one designer with a packed schedule, it’s Salehe Bembury. In addition to his long-standing collaboration with Crocs, where he designed the now-iconic Pollex Clog, Bembury has recently begun working with PUMA, all while maintaining his relationship with New Balance.
His next release? The New Balance 1000 ‘Fog Be The Cloud’.
Just like with his previous New Balance drops (or any other design, really), the sneaker gets a bold, colorful makeover. Originally launched in 1999, the New Balance 1000 made its comeback in 2025 to celebrate its 25th anniversary. With a chunky silhouette that fits perfectly into the Y2K runner aesthetic, the model’s mix of materials makes it the ideal canvas for a vibrant design.
And ‘Fog Be The Cloud’ is exactly that—vibrant. The sneaker blends eye-catching shades of blue, green, and red. Suede elements on the toe contrast nicely with the patent leather overlays on the midfoot and the rugged mesh on the upper.
The green outsole features New Balance’s signature ABZORB cushioning for comfort and shock absorption. On the heel, a pink emblem with Salehe’s name nods to the collaboration.
