Update February 17, 2025 – The success story of this chunky silhouette began back in 2025 with the debut of the adidas x Pharrell Williams Jellyfish in 'Focus Olive & Orange'. The release was highly anticipated and sold out instantly, as did the 'Grey' and 'Green' versions that followed shortly after.
Now, in February 2026, we can look forward to two brand-new colorways of the model. The Pharrell Williams x adidas Adistar Jellyfish in 'Royal Blue' and 'Triple Black' are set to drop Saturday, February 21st, 2026, at midnight for a retail price of €300.
Design & Inspiration
The Jellyfish is a modern reinterpretation of the Adistar Cushion from 2005. Its most prominent feature is the massive, three-dimensional TPU overlays, giving the shoe an almost organic, fluid appearance, true to its name. With its extremely chunky silhouette, the model evokes high-fashion sneakers like the Balenciaga Triple S but blends it with a sporty, technical aesthetic.
Unique details, such as the 'Virginia' branding and the extreme 3D vibe, nod to Pharrell’s roots and his influence on the shoe. There is also the adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 model, which has a similar vibe but different details. You can read more about the differences in this article.
Now, we can look forward to the colorways: 'Triple Black' & 'Royal Blue‘:
Following the massive success of the previous colorways, adidas is now expanding the lineup with two essential new looks:
'Triple Black': This version offers a stealthy, high-tech aesthetic. The dark tones emphasise the 3D structure and shadows of the TPU overlays, making it the most versatile and aggressive colorway yet.
'Royal Blue': Sticking to the aquatic theme, the blue colorway features shades that range from deep ocean navy to vibrant sea blue. It highlights the Jellyfish inspiration in a clever way, giving the sneaker a fresh, bioluminescent-inspired vibe.

The Pharrell Williams x adidas Jellyfish appears in a 'Triple Black' colorway
Original post March 26, 2025 - It might just be one of the most surprising sneaker designs of the year: the adidas Jellyfish. Recently, we got a fresh look at the silhouette, designed by Pharrell Williams. Now, adidas partner and rapper Pusha T has unveiled a ‘Triple Black’ colorway of the model.
Even though the previously revealed Jellyfish has yet to be released, a new colorway is already making its debut. King Push recently shared a photo of the ‘Triple Black’ edition, which—true to its name—is covered entirely in black from top to bottom.
The model features a chunky silhouette with a breathable mesh upper. Plastic details on the mid-panel give the sneaker a dynamic look, complemented by the oversized adiPRENE midsole. Additionally, the sneaker appears to have reflective details on the laces and heel.
Although not everything is visible in the photo, this colorway will likely feature the same small jellyfish logo on the tongue, along with the subtle Virginia branding.
