In May 2021 Nike will release a striking colorway on the Dunk Low model. The sneaker features a special colorblocking design and is expected to become very popular. Check out the Nike Dunk Low 'Dusty Olive' below, which is expected to release on May 21, 2021 for €100.

The Nike Dunk Low has a striking design. The upper is mainly made of a soft suede material. The base of the shoe consists of a dark brown colour, which can be seen for example on the middle panel. Furthermore, the overlays are coloured with a pale green hue. But, the colour that really stands out is the orange-yellow shade that can be seen, for example, on the laces, swooshes and outsole. The white insole and the white woven lettering on the heel provide a fresh, modern look. Finally, the colour combination can certainly be called unique and is reminiscent of the 2020 re-release of the 'Ugly Duckling' pack.
'Ugly Duckling' Pack
In 2001, Nike introduced their new Pro B line of Dunk Lows. These new Dunks had slightly thicker laces and featured a new material on the upper. Three different Nike Dunks were released under the name of this Pro B line. The three sneakers were called the 'Ugly Duckling' pack by the public, but the shoes were originally not an official pack. This pack included the colorways 'Plum', 'Veneer' and 'Ceramic'. The three colorways were seen as a set because of their striking colorblocking and the use of the same kind of materials.
As you can see from the pictures below, the sneakers are very similar in material and design. The pack was first re-released in 2020 and was well received by the sneaker scene. The Dunks sold out in no time on the release dates. The resell prices today are also higher than the original retail prices.
Nike Dunk Low 'Dusty Olive'
In our opinion, the new Nike Dunk Low 'Dusty Olive' definitely fits the look and feel of the 'Ugly Duckling' pack. The use of colour is odd, which makes the sneaker hot again.
The pale olive green shade has a cool undertone, while the brown and yellow colours have a warm undertone. Therefore, the sneaker matches almost every outfit and many other colours.
The sneaker is also suitable for every season. The bright yellow hue reminds of the warm summer weather, while the brown hue fits perfectly with the autumn colours. A versatile shoe!
