The year of the Dunks is far from over. Nike is letting you know that by announcing a new Dunk High. The upcoming pair is made especially and exclusively for the ladies and will don a 'Grey Scale' outfit for its release.
This year, we have seen a number of colourful Dunks pass by. However, there is so much more to the sneakers than just the colorways. The model was designed by Peter Moore and launched in 1985. The shoe was originally called the Nike College Color High. The upper of the Dunk was inspired by the designs of the Air Jordan 1 and the Nike Terminator. Eventually the model received its well known name 'Dunk High' because the shoe is especially made for basketball.

The model features a simple yet stylish colour scheme. In fact, the pair contains various shades of grey, with a small display of black and off-white. The base of the silhouette has a light grey hue, while the overlays on the mudguard, heel and laces are more dark grey.
The Swoosh on the side of the sneaker also matches the dark grey colour of the overlays. The laces that run over the tongue are black. Furthermore, the model has a midsole that is off-white in colour. The outsole of the Dunk is dark grey.
The Nike Dunk High 'Grey Scale' has no official release date yet, but is expected this year. Don't want to miss this release? Check out our release calendar and follow us on Instagram.
