In an era where innovation reaches further than ever before, Nike seems to keep returning to classics from its archives. After re-releasing silhouettes like the Air Tech Challenge II, the Astrograbber, and the Moon Shoe, Nike’s oldest sneaker ever, it’s now the Air Max Goadome’s turn. A Nike boot from the brand’s iconic ACG line, this time dressed in pony hair.
How could it be any other way?
Nike Air Max Goadome 2025
Among all of Nike’s countless sneakers, the releases under the ACG line are almost always a success. Nike’s sublabel ACG, short for All Conditions Gear, is known for its revolutionary, weather-resistant designs that continue to exude innovation even decades after their original debut.
The Air Max Goadome is a prime example. Originally released in the early 2000s, the sneaker is making a comeback in 2025. The shoe, or rather, the boot, features a chunky design and an Air Max unit in the heel. It’s a perfect blend of outdoor boots à la Timberland and the comfort technologies you know from Nike’s sneakers.
Since its original release, the Air Max Goadome has achieved cult status in East Coast U.S. cities, with an ongoing debate about whether New York or the DMV region (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) deserves credit for popularizing the model.
For this re-release, teased by A$AP Bari, Nike brings pony hair to the sneaker boot, a trend that seems to be taking over nearly every sneaker model in 2025. The first images show two colorways: an all-black version and one with a cow-print pattern (my personal favorite).
It’s not yet known when the Nike Air Max Goadome will officially release. Check out the first images below and keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for updates.
