Air Max 95
The Air Max 95 is a striking trainer design. The pair was designed by Sergio Lozano, a designer at Nike who also worked on the ACG line. In 1994, Lozano was commissioned to develop a running shoe that was allowed to have a challenging look. No sooner said than done, a year later the Air Max 95 appeared.
The Air Max 95 was introduced in the 'Neon' colorway. Using mesh, leather and suede, the upper used different shades of grey and came with dynamic overlays. Striking neon accents gave the pair a unique touch. To this day, the Air Max 95 'Neon' is an iconic trainer in the community.
Since the release of the AM95 'Neon', the pair has had several colorways that take inspiration from the OG look. In 2013, the mita trainers x Nike Air Max 95 'Prototype' was released for example, a collaboration between Nike and a Japanese retailer. The pair came in the OG colours of the 'Neon' colorway and added various details to the uppers.
Now, some ten years after the release of the mita trainers x Nike Air Max 95 'Prototype', the Air Max 95 appears in a 'Reverse Neon' colorway. The pair combines the colours black, grey and neon. The chunky midsole has a black colour and comes with neon-coloured Air units. The Nike logo appears on the tongue, heel and midsole.
