For the summer months, Nike is taking inspiration from the pineapple. Earlier this summer, images of an Air Force 1 for women appeared with this fruit as inspiration. On this upper were mint green details. Now Nike decided to design a pair for men as well.

The upper of this Air Force 1 Low is made up of many different materials. The base and overlay around the toe box are made from recycled canvas. The rear overlay and the overlay around the laces are made of pineapple leaves. The light cream colour Nike calls 'Coconut Milk'.
The Swoosh and heeltab are made of a textured leather in the colour of a pineapple. Around the Swoosh are accents in mint green. There is a small pineapple patch on the tongue.
On the lace lock, insole and outsole is a material similar to cork. The insole is the most obvious example. They added this material to keep the plant theme in. The cork comes from a tree.
