It is Tuesday again and that means we are going to look back at the 'Most Wanted Sneaker Releases' of last week. In the week from Monday 8 August 2022 to Sunday 14 August 2022 we saw some special drops. The week kicked off with SNKRS Day, where several Nike models were released. Also the new wave of Patta x Nike has started later that week.
The downside of popular sneakers is that they sell out quickly. But no stress if you missed the release of these pairs, it is still possible to score your favourite at different resale platforms. 1. Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Taxi' | 555088-711
This week's Most Wanted Sneaker Release is the Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Taxi'. This Air Jordan 1 was dropped on SNKRS Day and then released a second time. SNKRS Day was all about the fifth anniversary of the SNKRS app. Nike did a big campaign on this day and this sneaker was a part of it. Read more >>
The Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Taxi' comes in a summer colour scheme. The upper of the high-top style is made entirely of leather. The name 'Taxi' refers to the yellow colour of New York taxis. This yellow can be seen on the rear overlays, the toe cap and the insole and outsole. The colour is combined with white and black to make the yellow stand out even more.
2. Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Denim' | DM9036-104
Second in line is the Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Denim', where the combination of materials stands out the most. The base of the silhouette is made of white leather, with denim overlays on top. The denim overlays have a rough finish, which gives them a tough look.
Another eye-catching detail are the golden lace jewels, which are located on the underside of the laces. To complete the look, the midsole comes in white and the outsole in light blue.
3. Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 574 'Conversations Amongst Us' | U574BH2
In April 2022, a 550 and 2002R were already dropped as part of the 'Conversations Among Us' collection. Now it was the 547's turn. The sneaker uses a combination of mesh and leather in an off-white colour. The base is made of mesh and the mudguards, middle panel and heel tab of leather. A yellowish hue can be found around the neck, which gives just a little more detail to the shoe.
On the side panel you will find the well known 'N' logo in a silver colour. Under the tongue is the 'Conversations Amongst US' logo. The upper is completed with the name of the collection on the heel.

4. Bryant Giles x New Balance 2002R 'Olive Green' | M2002RAG
Bryant Giles and New Balance have released a 2002R as part of their new collaboration. The upper of the model is made of canvas in an olive green colour. The most striking thing about this pair are the illustrations of Giles that are embroidered on the upper. Besides, the famous 'N' logo on the side is removable, thanks to Velcro.
5. Patta x Nike Air Max 1 'Dark Russet' - The Second Wave | DO9549-200
Last in line we have the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 'Dark Russet', most of the upper is made from leather and has been given a Maroon colour. Which is reminiscent of Patta's previous release the 'Rush Maroon'. The base comes in grey and is made of mesh. The iconic wavy mudguard is not to be missed, which of course refers to the wave. The collar is pink and contrasts well with the overlays.
