There will be a LEGO adidas Superstar that you can put together yourself releasing soon! LEGO and adidas have recently collaborated on several sneaker products. Now it is LEGO's turn for a building product.
LEGO and adidas
In September 2020, the first pair of sneakers from these two brands came out. This was the LEGO x adidas ZX8000 'A-ZX'. On this shoe, there were elements that made it look as if some parts were made of the famous cubes. In October of that year, the two brands announced a multi-year partnership. Last April, they released the LEGO x adidas UltraBOOST 4.0 'DNA'. On the adidas stripes of this sneaker, you could put your own LEGO blocks and make the shoe your own. Later that month, they released the LEGO x adidas ZX 8000 again, but this time in six different colorways for the whole family.
LEGO 10282 adidas Superstar
The LEGO 10282 adidas Superstar comes in a blue shoe box with the adidas logo on it. It is just like buying a real Superstar. The model consists of 731 bricks. Between the bricks there are also printed bricks, including the Superstar lettering, the adidas logo and the 3 stripes that we know from the German brand.
The sneaker has been recreated in real size. It is 12 centimetres high, 27 centimetres long and 9 centimetres wide. As an extra you get a holder where the model can be presented on, you get laces that you can actually put in the sneaker and there is a surprise in the box. This model is part of the adult collection of LEGO.
Creativity with LEGO
Because of the many possibilities you have with LEGO, you can make the shoe as you like. Together with adidas and LEGO, Hanna Helsø has given her Superstar a new look. She did this by taking inspiration from other LEGO products, but also from other sneakers. She used flowers and blossoms from the LEGO 10280 Flower Bouquet and the LEGO 10281 Bonsai Tree.
In her Superstar, there are double laces due to the inspiration of the Sacai x Nike Blazer. The purple added laces match the flower from the bouquet that Hanna placed on the upper. She gave the adidas stripes a grey colour instead of the traditional black and added a lace lock to the sneaker.
The LEGO 10282 adidas Superstar will be released on Thursday, July 1, 2021 for €89.99. That's €0.12 per brick. This model will be available exclusively on the LEGO webshop. The LEGO sneaker is expected to be available at other retailers and certain shoe shops in September.
