The Futuristic Nike Air Max 1000 Now Drops in a Black Colorway

Zellerfeld and Nike have just unveiled a new colorway of the Air Max 1000: the ‘Black’. This black edition is the second in the series, alongside the ‘Oat’ colorway that will release later this month. It is expected that this release will also be limited to 300 pairs, which, like the ‘Oat’, will be available exclusively in the United States.

In my opinion, the Nike Air Max 1000 is a perfect example of what sneakers could look like in the future: a streamlined design, crafted from top to bottom using 3D printing technology, fully shaped to the contours of the foot. After a long wait for the first colorway, the ‘Oat’, we now also get to see the ‘Black’.

As the name suggests, the sneaker features a black upper with refined, web-like structures and unique geometric patterns made possible only through Zellerfeld’s advanced manufacturing process. A bright green Air unit adds a striking twist to the pair.

Only 300 pairs of the Air Max 1000 ‘Black’ are expected to be produced. The ‘Oat’ colorway, releasing on August 19, 2025, is a US exclusive, and the same will likely apply to the ‘Black’.

When is the Zellerfeld x Nike Air Max 1000 ‘Black’ releasing?

The sneaker does not yet have an official release date. However, we can expect this pair, along with the ‘Oat’ colorway, in 2025. Stay tuned to the Sneakerjagers news page for updates.
