Converse x Feng Chen Wang
Converse and Feng Chen Wang have released two Chuck 70s with a unique look. The concept of the two kicks is about dualism. The design uses juxtaposition and rigid materials that are still comfortable. The kicks aim to break through, to go beyond structural boundaries and cultures.
The idea behind the design of these pairs is focused on cement. Cement is the metaphor for the measures of the pandemic and being stuck in your own bubble. Feng wants people to break through this bubble with this design.
Both pairs are made for everyone and are therefore unisex.

One of the two colorways of the Converse x Feng Chen Wang collaboration stands out the most and that is the pink one. Both the upper and the rubber toe cap and sole are candy cane pink. Around the back part of these Chuck's you can see an extra piece. This element makes the sneaker 2-in-1.
The rear part has a light cream colour. This light cream colour continues over the midsole. The Converse logo on the inside of the ankle is in black on this pair. All laces remain silver.
What makes the sneaker even more robust is the sole. The sole is divided into several layers, creating a height and thickness difference. The outsole is also pink and here you can clearly see the contrast between the sole layers. A gutter runs horizontally and vertically through the outsole.
This pair costs €180.00.

The second colorway from the collaboration of Converse and Feng Chen Wang is a bit more subtle. The upper of this colorway is grey, with a melange of green and black through it. The double back has the same colour on this pair.
In contrast to the other colour scheme, the lacing eyes are a matt beige colour. Therefore, the lacing eyes are not immediately noticeable. The construction of the sole is exactly the same.
On the heel, there are two loops through which you can wrap the laces. This way, you can create a unique look and it is handy if the laces are a bit too long for you.
This colorway also costs €180.00.
