In an era where the Y2K trend is bigger than ever, the collaboration between Vaquera and Converse couldn’t have come at a better time. The duo unveils two new versions of the Chuck Taylor All Star, the XHi and the XXXHi, each one taller than the other.
It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it certainly is mine.
The collaboration stays true to the DNA of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star while adding an elevated collar. The XXXHi, the extra-tall silhouette, gives the original waxed canvas upper a makeover with voluminous, waxed collars that extend all the way up to the knee.
The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star XXXHi features a Chelsea wedge insole, literally taking your outfit to new heights. The model also includes a lace-up fastening at the top to ensure the All Star doesn’t slip down your leg.
The XHi silhouette is a shorter, calf-length version that offers a less dramatic but more versatile look. Both versions come in black and white colorways.
Just a reminder: Converse runs large, in case you’re planning to grab a pair.
The Vaquera x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star XXXHi and XHi are available at Converse and selected retailers. Check out the official images below and stay tuned to the Sneakerjagers news page for more stories like this.
