Boston-based Concepts was founded in 1996 in a basement on Brattle Street. In 2008 Concepts launched their first Nike SB Dunk, the Lobster. With this, Concepts introduced the New England humour and talent for bold packaging to the world of sneakers. This Nike still belongs to the Holy Grails today. Now, in 2020, Concepts returns with the TurDUNKen.
In addition to that, every sneaker in the Concepts Dunk line contains humorous expressions from the shop's employees. These 'Inside Jokes' of the staff are captured on the canvas of the Dunk. This gives the rising Nike Dunk high a special place in the history of Concepts.
Concepts x Nike Dunk High Pro QS
The Concepts x Nike Dunk High Pro is inspired by a duck. Different brown colours can be found on the upper part of the sneaker. In addition to that, Supple leather is placed on the toe box and area around the ankle. On the midfoot a kind of torn material is placed which gives the sneaker a unique look. On the eyestays and mudguard long premium suede is used. The tongue is made of shiny green material, which can always be seen on the neck of a duck. On the inside and sockliner there are graphics of ducks. Furthermore the upper part is closed by a blue shiny Swoosh. Under the upper is a yellowed sole combined with an orange outsole.
Like all Concept Dunk releases, the sneaker also comes out in a special packaging. This packaging is in the shape and look of an oven. In this special packaging you will also find Nike Dri-FIT socks with chicken print, Concepts turkey wrapping paper and a Nerf Turkey Vortex.
