To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Jordan Brand, Nike is bringing back some classics. The Air Jordan 1 'Shattered Backboard' is set to release on July 12, 2025, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the original colorway. Inspired by Michael Jordan's iconic backboard-shattering dunk in 1985, this release will be available in full family sizing.

During the 1985 game, Michael Jordan dunked the ball so hard that he shattered the glass backboard. Jordan’s team wore an orange uniform during this game - the colour that takes centre stage in the sneaker’s colorway.

The sneaker debuted in 2015 and quickly became a favorite among fans. Several variants of the 'Shattered Backboard' have been released since, including the 3.0 version, which featured patent leather. Now, exactly 10 years after the colorway first hit Nike's shelves, the brand is releasing it once again.

The 'Shattered Backboard' is set to release on July 12, 2025.
