The Air Jordan 1 High OG Light Fusion Red in the Spotlight

We have a colourful Air Jordan 1 in the spotlight. To be precise, it's about the Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Light Fusion Red', which will celebrate its release in the second week of June 2021. The increasingly warm weather and the beautiful sunshine hours are a perfect match for the Jordan Brand's Light Fusion Red colorway.

High or Mid?

At first glance, some Air Jordan fans will have noticed the resemblance to the Air Jordan 1 Mid 'Día de Muertos'. The Mid variant was first launched in October 2020 and has a totally similar colour scheme to the OG Laser Orange. On the Mid model, the 'Familia' lettering was still visible on the side. For those who don't remember the kicks quite as well, feel free to take a look at the shoes below.

Many fans of the Jordan 1 series will probably prefer the High OG Light Fusion Red variant. For those who don't think much of the High vs. Mid argument, the 'Día de Muertos' is certainly a chic alternative.

But now for the Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Light Fusion Red', which comes in a white leather base. The Fusion Red overlays with some Laser Orange details are striking. The summery look is rounded off by the orange Swoosh and the successful Fusion Red/White leather base. The Air Jordan logo on the side is in black and the Nike Air lettering on the tongue is also part of the OG model. Take a look at the first pictures below.

The Nike Air lettering on the tongue has a beautiful colour gradient in Fusion Red and Laser Orange. The midsole is white and forms a nice contrast to the black sole, with fresh white laces also. Nike also provides additional laces in the laser orange colour.

Otherwise, the kicks come in the usual Air Jordan 1 box that we know from the other J1 OG shoes. The OG abbreviation means that the J1 has the same colour blocking as the original Air Jordan 1 from 1985. The colours change, but the arrangement of the colours is the same. A small but subtle difference for many fans of the Jordan Brand.
