Nike pays tribute to the American city of New York with the recently announced Air Force 1 Mid NYC Pack. With the NYC Pack, the brand expands its extensive offering of shoes with not one, but two pairs of the Air Force 1 model in two different colorways.
New York is famous for many monuments and places, such as the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, Madison Square Garden and some famous skyscrapers like the Empire State Building and the New York Times Tower. Because of the hustle and bustle of the city, New York is also known as 'The City That Never Sleeps'.
Nike has designed the NYC Pack so that both variants of the Air Force 1 Mid represent characteristics of the city. In addition, the shoes feature a number of NYC branding designed by John C. Jay. This shows that the sneakers are truly New York inspired.
Nike Air Force 1 'Bronx Bomber' | DH5622-100
The first pair has a colorway that is fully inspired by the American baseball club the Yankees. The model has a leather upper that is mainly white in colour. The tongue and collar are finished with a dark blue line.

A white Jewel Swoosh can be found on the side of the shoe. Furthermore, the silhouette contains a white midsole and a brown outsole made of gum. The number 6 can be found on the bottom of the outsole and refers to the MTA train 'No. 6' that runs through the city.
Nike Air Force 1 'Concrete Jungle' | DH5622-001
The second pair from the NYC Pack takes a different colorway with it. The upper of the silhouette comes dressed in a grey outfit, with white accents at the laces. The colour grey refers to the cement that can be found in the paving stones and buildings of New York.
This pair also features a white Jewel Swoosh. It also features a white midsole and grey outsole to match the upper.
Both colorways of the Air Force 1 Mid NYC Pack do not yet have an exact release date, but are expected this year. Don't want to miss this release? Check out our release calendar and follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
