Even though spring is still far away, some brands are already getting us in the mood for warmer days. With the A-ZX series, adidas has released a lot of great colourways and collaborations on the different ZX models over the last few months. However, the ZX 8000 is still one of the most popular models in the series and a 'Frozen Lemonade' colorway will soon be released for the sneaker.

In 1984, the first sneaker of the adidas ZX series was released. This was the adidas ZX 500. The idea behind the sneaker was to meet every desire and need of runners. Thanks to the great design, the sneaker was also quickly picked up in fashion and was also widely spotted on the streets. Between 1984 and 1988, the so-called hundred numbers of the ZX series were first released. These were the ZX 220 to the ZX 930. In total, almost 20 variations of these sneakers were designed.
The ZX sneakers that are released today are all inspired by the 80s and 90s. This is not surprising, because retro sneakers are more popular than ever. The retro charm is combined with contemporary technology and thus combines the best of old and new in one sneaker design.
adidas ZX 8000 'Frozen Lemonade'
With some reference to the Nike Air Max 1 'Lemonade', the adidas ZX 8000 is one colorway in itself. Pastel yellow colours are used on the suede overlays. The base is made of mesh and has a white/grey colorway. A vibrant green colour is used on the eyestays, logo on the tongue and side of the heel. The yellow colour is also a homage for the 'Citrus' colorway back from the 80s. A fun detail is found on the insole, which features the recipe for frozen lemonade. The upper of the sneaker rests on a white/green midsole. This sole has the Torsion technology, so you can walk comfortably every day.
