Undeniably, Kanye West x adidas' various Yeezy creations have lit a fire in the sneaker world. What started as an igniting flame has now reached the proportions of an inferno and the new adidas Yeezy 500 'Enflame' also ignites us.
The sneaker will be released on Saturday 08 May 2021 at 08:00 am at some retailers, Raffles are also still open for registration. The shoe will cost around 200€ as usual.

Since its initial release in 2018, the Yeezy 500 has become one of the most important sneakers in the brand's product line. Instead of the Yeezy's signature Primeknit upper, the 500 comes with luxurious suede materials, mesh overlays and cushioning adiPRENE foam.
The shoe is also the first adidas x Kanye West original that is not equipped with Boost technology. The futuristic sole has a different history with the Three Strips. It is almost 20 years old and was first presented on Kobe Bryant's signature sneaker, the adidas KB8, in 1999. The idea behind the design was to save basketball players from twisting their ankles, but today the chunky look also fits perfectly with the dad sneaker trend.
The silhouette of the Yeezy 500 has never strayed far from its original design. A nylon fabric was first introduced in the 'Stone'. This was placed on the base instead of the more breathable mesh panels, which in turn accentuated the look. The colorway around the light yellow shade was one of the more colourful versions of the model.
Adidas then presented the next chapter of the Yeezy 500: a bold high-top variant in the 'Slate' colorway.
While the Yeezy Boost 700 feels like Balenciaga's Triple S or Dior Homme's latest dad sneaker, the 500 is completely unique. It's like being on another planet - that's what the mesh and suede upper combined with the retro sole makes us feel. Maybe these kicks will actually land on Mars one day?

In keeping with its design, the latest colorway features a leather and suede overlay upper for a premium finish and lasting comfort. The mesh underlays also guarantee comfort and breathability, while the reflective details make the Yeezy 500 unique. The lightweight rubber outsole brings traction and the adiPRENE+ cushioning absorbs impact.
