Brands adidas and atmos have joined hands and come up with a new Superstar. The adidas x atmos Superstar 'Hachiko' is an extension of the 'Shibuya Pack'.

For those who know the movie 'Hachi: A dog's tale', the story behind this sneaker may seem familiar. With its furry silhouette, the adidas x atmos Superstar Hachiko pays tribute to the most loyal dog ever known. The dog is said to have waited nine years for his owner to meet him, unaware that Hidesaburō Ueno (his owner) had died. Japanese streetwear brand atmos then translated this story into the Superstar.
The design of the shoe is inspired by the fur of the dog. The Superstar consists of light brown fur and the three stripes on the sides are made of dark brown suede. Printed on the side of the soles are the coordinates of the Shibuya train station. On the tongue is a silver-coloured label with the adidas logo engraved on it. The insole has the logo with the text "You Make Shibuya" printed on it.
The sneaker will be released at atmos on 18 September 2021. Proceeds from the sales will go to the city of Shibuya and support the Shibuya Ward Official Souvenir Project.
