The historic adidas 'Grand Slam' returns to the streetwear scene after almost 40 years. After debuting in 1984, the kicks quickly became iconic and one of the many special moments in adidas tennis history. Sneakers like the Grand Slam and the signature adidas Stan Smith shaped tennis style as we know it today. Now adidas has reissued the pair in an original retro look.
The sneaker features many vintage details that make the most of the authentic silhouette. The upper is made of white leather, as well as harmonising grey suede around the toe. The adidas stripes pick up the green colour accents of the heel perfectly. Orange and yellow details are used, such as on the adidas Trefoil logo.
The sneaker has a small G.S print on the base, which is supposed to stand for Grand Slam. The three 'buttons' on the midsole pick up all the colours used on the sneaker again and also add a cool detail. Are you looking forward to the comeback?
