Thank you 'To My First Coach' with the new Jordan Pack

When you think back to your childhood, there must be that one person. That one person you still carry in your heart. That one person who, along with your parents and friends, had a significant impact on you, influenced you and inspired you. A teacher or coach that you still think about today and then smile. In honour of these individuals, Jordan Brand releases a 'To My First Coach' pack.

Consisting of a Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT, an Air Jordan 1 Mid and an Air Jordan 1 Low, the pack says "thank you". On 07 May 2021, you can shop the shoes at Nike from 09:00 am. As you can see, the shoes will cost between 130€ and 160€ depending on the model. Click on the button to go directly to your favourites:

The releases follow a clear colour palette of sail, orange, blue and yellow, with the bright colours colouring each of the overlays. In addition, all variants come with white Swoosh's and special edition hangtags. The latter are in the shape of a ball with wings and bear the message 'To My First Coach' and 'Thank You' on the back.

The AJ1 High Zoom CMFT features a coral mudguard and a light blue heel and collar flaps. The Swoosh is also cut out, which is typical for the Zoom variant. Just like the Air Jordan 1 Low, the Jordan 1 High also features a uniform white leather quarter panel, forefoot overlay and toe cap as well as delicate yellow eyestays.

The model convinces with the Zoom technology, which consists of compressed air and is combined with strongly tensioned fibres. This softens shocks and at the same time enables fast movements, thus protecting muscles and joints.

This year we can also look forward to the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 'Tropical Twist', read more here.

Air Jordan 1 Mid 'To My First Coach' | DJ6908-100

As the first mock-up in November 2020 already indicated, the Mid model of the pack features a variety of different hues on a cream base. Bright red highlighs the heel and ankle, while yellow, light blue and grey enliven areas along the tongue and forefoot. In fact, the sneakers' colorblocking is reminiscent of the 2018 collaboration with Aleali May. Read more here!

Air Jordan 1 Low 'To My First Coach' | DJ6909-100

Just like the Air Jordan 1 High, the AJ1 Low was released in 1985. The Jordan 1 High was of course the first shoe designed by Nike for Michael Jordan, but read more about that here. Like the Mid, the AJ1 Low silhouette is becoming increasingly popular and is a great choice for summer. The kicks feature a blue mudguard and coral heel details, while offering a standard leather Swoosh.

All Air Jordan 1 models that are currently available can also be found in our sneaker collection.

A bit of life wisdom

My character in this scenario is my former English teacher. She was strict but fair and a teacher thoroughly. I still consider myself lucky today to have had her as a teacher for almost my entire school career, be it in book club or W-seminar. She encouraged, inspired and challenged me. Once she recommended the book "Tuesdays with Morrie" to me, which is about an old man and a young man and a lesson for life. So let me quote:

“If you hold back on the emotions--if you don't allow yourself to go all the way through them--you can never get to being detached, you're too busy being afraid. You're afraid of the pain, you're afraid of the grief. You're afraid of the vulnerability that loving entails. But by throwing yourself into these emotions, by allowing yourself to dive in, all the way, over your heard even, you experience them fully and completely.”
