Student-athletes at the University of Oregon can auction off their exclusive Oregon Air Jordan 8. All athletes are paid the same amount of money. Normally, university athletes are not paid, causing a lot of commotion in the United States.

The auctioning of products and keeping the proceeds in this way was prohibited. A change in the rules made it possible for NCAA athletes to earn money for their efforts in a roundabout way.

StockX is hosting the auction in partnership with Division Street, an agency that works with Oregon student-athletes on NIL deals. Division Street was founded by Oregon alumni, including Nike founder Phil Knight.

The Oregon Air Jordan 8 features white, black and green on the upper. On the tongue is the university's duck logo in black, to honour the school's black athletes. The American football players all have their own pair, but a hundred more were designed for the auction.
