Stone Island shows images of their latest collaboration with New Balance: the 991v2. After launching the FuelCell C_1 in collaboration with Tokyo Design Studio in July 2023, they will now release an all-new silhouette on 18 October 2023.

The duo first joined forces in 2013 by releasing an exclusive design of the 577. They also released the RC ELITE SI in collaboration with Tokyo Design Studio in 2021. This was followed by the FuelCell RC Elite V2, a 574 Legacy and a collection of football shoes and kits covered in camouflage in 2022.
The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of this collaboration, which is a fitting time to unveil an all-new model. The 991v2 takes inspiration from industrial environments such as train platforms, pubs and terraces, which is evident in the design of the mesh upper inspired by welded metal.
Atop this base are overlays in nubuck and textured leather. Reflective accents have also been added to the design, further emphasising the concept of industrial spaces.
