StockX Big Facts 2023

Recently, StockX released its own report showing the company's biggest trends. The year 2023 was an eventful year in terms of releases with a lot of high-profile collabs, new silhouettes, and classics. In the report, StockX showed numbers regarding search volumes, resell prices, and year-on-year growth.

The report begins by showing the 2023 “Standouts,” with the adidas Campus 00s at the top. Over 8 million dollars were spent on the platform over the past year on this particular silhouette. The Pixar x Crocs 'Mater' Clog was also hugely popular this year, as was the Arc'teryx brand and UGG's Tasman model.

Popular models

The return of classic silhouettes, such as the adidas Campus, Gazelle, and the Nike Mac Attack, did very well this year, the StockX report shows. But new silhouettes were also much sought after. In 2023, New Balance introduced the 990v6 model, the newest silhouette in the 990 series. The model was soon used in various collaborations with names such as Action Bronson and Carhartt WIP.

The Nike Vomero, a WMNS model introduced in late 2022, was also an instant hit. This can also be seen in the search volumes shown below for each silhouette.

Successful collabs 2023

Once again, Travis Scott was a much-discussed artist in the sneaker community this year. The Houston-based rapper has been working with Nike for quite some time and is known for his wildly popular releases. In 2023, Travis introduced his own silhouette and came out with several colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Low silhouette.

The 'Neutral Olive' and 'Olive' colorways topped the list of average, highest resell prices per sneaker this year, followed by the Born X Raised collab. Notably, the sneaker with the highest resell value is a Golf variant of the Air Jordan 1 model, a silhouette that previously did not have as much value. Other Nike Golf releases also did better in 2023 than in previous years.

Other collaborations that did well in 2023 included the Shrek x Crocs collab, Aminé's debut at New Balance, and the Tiffany & Co. x Nike collab. Brands such as Palace, Martine Rose, KAWS, Kith, and Ganni were also highly sought after in 2023.

Brands

Looking at the brands that were searched for more in 2023 than in previous years, the Blancpain and Hellstar brands stand out. Watch brand Blancpain joined forces with Swiss watch company Swatch in 2023, a successful partnership that attracted a lot of attention, according to the increase in searches.

British clothing brand Sport & Rich also appears at the top, something its collaboration with adidas is most likely responsible for. Mugler partnered with H&M in 2023, which also resulted in a higher percentage (+4.529%) in searches, as seen in the StockX report.

Wishlist

Finally, StockX shows buyers' favorites by wish list, a feature that had been introduced specifically for the holiday season. Appearing in the top three are the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 4, and Nike Dunk silhouettes, models that have been beloved by many sneaker lovers for years.

A notable silhouette from the "Most Wished-For Products" list, is the Crocs Clog. Also, despite all the commotion, Yeezy's are still doing very well. Fear of God hoodies are also still a favorite.

These were the most notable trends from the StockX Big Facts 2023 report. Check out the entire report below. Should you be interested in more posts like this one, take a look at the Sneakerjagers news page.
