On September 7, 2023, the legendary Nike Mac Attack 'White/Black' is set to be released, eagerly anticipated by many sneaker fans. The OG colorway was introduced in 1984 as a tennis sneaker for John McEnroe. The shoe's unique look and clean black-and-white design make it one of the trendiest retro silhouettes. solebox aims to give this silhouette some extra recognition and, therefore, introduces a unique chessboard.
The unique chessboard is a collaboration between solebox and Nike, celebrating the Nike Mac Attack 'White/Black' and incorporating the chessboard tongue banners of the shoe. It is held in the colors black, white, and red, just like the branding. In particular, the large 'A,' which is stamped onto the board along with a part of the Swoosh, is intended to emphasize the 'Mac Attack' once again. The board is equipped with many special details such as red splatters and thin lines framing the squares. The board comes with 32 acrylic chess pieces. The pieces also have a distinctive design with the punched-out Nike logo, 'A' letters, and Solebox symbols.
