During the Pinkster weekend of 2023, the halls of the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam were once again filled with the best sneaker stands. Sneaker resellers, designers, and collectors from all over Europe came together to buy or sell their sneakers or sneaker-related items.
In addition to the many stands, the event also featured inspiring talks, activities, interviews, and much more. You could get your sneakers cleaned by Crep or have them customized by one of the participating designers.
Additionally, you could have shirts printed, participate in basketball tournaments, and even get tattoos. Names like Vijz, Jonas Cozone, T.Kicks.Worldwide, and many others were present, each showcasing their unique sneaker collection or sneaker-related artworks.
Throughout the event, DJ Turne played the best tunes, creating a relaxed atmosphere. At the various food trucks, you could grab food or drinks and relax in the sun. Sneakerjagers was also present, providing live coverage of both days.
PUMA x Sneakerjagers
In collaboration with PUMA, Sneakerjagers organized various talks featuring names like Tim Beumers, DJ Turne, and 4SHOBANGERS. These talks discussed the history of hip-hop, breakdancing, and graffiti, and how these movements have influenced the sneaker scene. Under the name 'PUMA celebrating 50 years of Hip hop,' PUMA welcomed DJ Culture and MC Culture.
Using old film footage, discussions, laughter, and debates revolved around the shared passion: sneakers. On the feet, the well-known Rhuigi x PUMA Suede 'B-boy' could be seen, which had recently been released. The talk also touched on the PUMA Clyde, a hip-hop classic beloved by many.
After the PUMA talk, the Patta documentary 'Patta for Life' was screened, followed by a talk with Giano Codrington, hosted by Tommy Triggah. On the second day, the documentary 'Just For Kicks' was shown. In short, two informative days with a lot of inspiring people.
