Sneakerjagers introduces a new talk show, dear community! We proudly present: The Pay Check. Led by music journalist and sneaker fanatic Pay Kolmüs, the show talks about music, creativity, fashion and sports. The first episode will be aired on 5 April 2022.
The Pay Check
The Pay Check is a concept created by Pay Kolmüs. In the show, she talks to different guests about music, sneakers and everything around it. The guests in the show come from all different industries. From DJs to fashion designers and athletes. Everyone with a story from this cultural sector passes by.
The guests can tell their own story here. What do they do, how do they see the industry they work in and how do they use their creativity in their work. For an hour, or longer if the topic allows it, there is interesting talk, a lot of laughter and valuable discussion in a laid-back atmosphere.
Besides that, a lot of experiences, information and small fun facts are shared. With The Pay Check, different corners of the cultural sector are brought together. Creativity is central in this.
Pay Kolmüs
The host of The Pay Check is Pay Kolmüs. Pay is a jack-of-all-trades. She has been active in the music and entertainment scene for about twenty years and is a music journalist and artist manager. In her career, she has already interviewed artists such as Public Enemy, Nas, Ice Cube and Ne-Yo and these are just a few examples.
Her career in the music industry has taken her to various places. From hosting music festivals such as Amsterdam Dance Event to having her own radio show, Pay can be described as a true music industry professional. She also holds a position as a member of the Supervisory Board at De Melkweg, one of the most well-known hip hop venues in Amsterdam.
With her knowledge, she helps artists in and around the Netherlands. For example, she coaches students at the Ivy Chanel Music Academy (ICMA) in London and gives them the right tools to start a music career. In short, Pay has an eventful and multifaceted career.
Sneaker passion
Besides her passion for music, Pay is also a big sneaker fan. In 2021, she was a guest at our The Queens & Sneakers Show and talked to Carmen and Maartje about her passion for sneakers. She is a big fan of the Nike Air Max 1 and the Atmos 'Elephant' is still high on her wish list.
Also in The Pay Check, Pay talks to her guests about the sneaker scene and the culture surrounding it. The first episode will be online on Tuesday 5 April 2022 at 20:00 and can be viewed on the Sneakerjagers YouTube channel.
