The first images of a new Nike Dunk Low have surfaced. The colorway consists of fresh colours and contains interesting details. For example, the peace symbol can be found and a special stitching technique can be seen. The pair is expected to release in 2021. On the Dunk, the beige suede overlays immediately stand out, lying over the dark base of the shoe. Because of this dark base, the white details on the sneaker also stand out. The swoosh, the laces and the midsole are all white.
The name of the sneaker gives it away: sashiko stitching has also been added to the side panels and heel of the shoe. Another striking detail is the engraved peace symbol that can be seen on the side of the heel. The sneaker is finished with a green hue on the tongue label and heel and a gum rubber outsole.
The striking Sashiko stitching was already found on a Dunk sneaker once before, namely on the Nike SB Dunk Low PRM 'Sashiko' from 2020. This sneaker consisted mainly of blue denim materials. The white stitching is a playful contrast to the dark base of the shoe. We also saw the Japanese embroidery technique recently on the 2020 Air Jordan 4 Retro SE 'Deep Ocean'. Here, the technique was used more subtly and alternated with different patterns on the fabric. Also notable are the red laces that have been added.
The Nike Dunk Low Sashiko 'Peace' is expected to be released this year for €110 at Nike. Curious which other Nike Dunk's will be released this year? Check out our release calendar to get an overview! Don't forget to download the Sneakerjagers App to stay up to date with the latest sneaker news!
