After the success of the Jordan 3, sales of the Jordan 4 were a bit disappointing at first, but after Michael Jordan made history with a winning shot, with the Jordan 4 at his feet, the Jordan 4 was suddenly extremely popular! The model is still one of the most popular Jordans. According to many fans even the best Jordan model ever!
Although 'Starfish', the name of the sneaker, is the name of an ocean-dwelling creature, the inspiration was actually taken from space travel. The Jordan 4 shows the power and beauty of technical materials used in space suits. Yet we also recognise starfish colours in the sneakers. The design features orange details.

The upper is largely made of metallic mesh in black. Through this, you can see the colour 'Starfish' orange, which gives a super cool effect. The orange colour is also found on the edges of the different layers. The rubber details, like the backtab and the side, are made black. While the eyestays and midsole have been given a dark grey colour. The rubber part of the sole, around the 'Air Unit', has been given a white colour. On the heel and toe of the sole, we see the 'Starfish' orange hue. The iconic Jumpman logo can also be found on the branding on the tongue and backtab. These are in the same colours as the Jordan brand. Jordan Brand is clearly not done with the Jordan 4, because this is another great colorway!
