In 2021, PUMA introduced an eye-catching basketball shoe that quickly gained attention: the MB.01. As LaMelo Ball, an emerging talent in the NBA, wears his third signature silhouette next season, the brand continues to raise the bar with designing new colorways. On Friday 29 September 2023, they will pay tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a special Pink Alert release.
The upcoming colorway comes almost entirely in a neon pink hue, from the laces and mesh tongue to the TPU overlays, embroidered wings and semi-transparent outsole. A nice detail is the Pink Ribbon symbol that can be seen in bright white, above LaMelo's logo on the tongue. The branding on the heel and the text 'Not From Here' have also been given a white colour, making them stand out against the pink upper.
What makes this release even better is that part of the proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research and prevention. As a result, not only do you get a stylish and comfortable basketball shoe, but you also contribute to a positive impact in the fight against this disease at the same time.
