PUMA's iconic Clyde silhouette will soon celebrate its 50th anniversary. The model has a retro look and has been a fan favourite among PUMA fans for years. Sneaker boutique END. is celebrating the model's anniversary with three colorways. The END. x Puma Clyde pack will be released on 27 January 2023.
The origins of the Clyde OG
First released in 1973, the PUMA Clyde featured as one of the first collaborations between a sports brand and athletes. The model has managed to move itself from sports shoe to a true classic within the sneaker community. To celebrate, PUMA is bringing back the shoe for its 50th anniversary on the 27th of January 2023 in a collaboration with END.
When you think of famous athletes and signature shoes, Michael Jordan and all that he managed to achieve with his sneaker line immediately comes to mind. Yet before Jordan, there were also athletes who had their own shoe deal. Basketball player Walt Frazier was one of the first of these.
50 years of the PUMA Clyde
Passing the test of time is not for everyone. Sneakers evolve and so does the culture around them. Fans of PUMA therefore see the Clyde as a truly iconic silhouette, precisely because this model has been relevant within sneaker culture for 50 years. For this reason, PUMA is bringing the shoe back in a collaboration with END.
PUMA Clyde x End.
The shoe will be released in three different colours, 'Red Ivory', 'Navy Ivory' and 'Pine Green'. All three colorways feature suede and are brought to life with various details. These include the PUMA Formstrip, with gold tooled additions such as the END. logo on the heel and the Clyde logo on the centre panel.
300 were made per pair of the collaboration. This means the release is incredibly limited so will be a must-have for die hard fans and PUMA collectors. On the heel, it is indicated in gold which numbered copy you have in your hands. To keep it fair among fans, one Raffle will be opened per pair. Raffles are already open now at END.
