Piet Parra shares images of upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low collab

In March, the news came out that Piet Parra is planning another Nike collaboration. This time around, there will be a Parra x Nike SB Dunk Low and Parra himself could not resist sharing a little preview with the rest of the world. It looks like the final collab will look a little different than the samples that surfaced earlier.

Parra and Nike have a rich history together. Sixteen years ago, in 2005, Piet Parra got the chance to create his own Air Max 1. For the sneaker, he was inspired by his own hometown, Amsterdam. At first, the intention was to use 'Albert Heijn' as inspiration, but because Albert Heijn's house style changed, the colorway was no longer relevant. Still, a few pairs saw the light of day, making the sneaker very rare and worth thousands of euros!

A few years later, the Parra x Patta x Air Max 1 'Cherrywood' emerged and this collab was also very rare and popular. In total, only 258 pairs were released. Then it was quiet for a long time and another collab popped up in 2018. An Air Max 1 and an Air Spiridon were central to this collab. Within no time, the collab was sold out and via StockX you pay a few hundred euros. Click here to check out the Parra x Nike collaboration via Stockx.

Parra x Nike SB Dunk Low | Closer Look

As we mentioned, the sneaker looks slightly different in the photo shared by Parra than in the samples. The design and patterns have remained identical, however, the brown suede has been replaced for a leather cream-coloured base. We can see that the toebox and the midpanels are processed in this colour. The laces have a standard white colour, which matches the mini-swoosh on the forefoot. The cream midpanels are covered by contrasting black Swooshes. What we can also see is that the silhouette features a white midsole.
