Collaborations with music artists remain a prominent driving force for adidas. One name that will be in the spotlight again in 2023 is Pharrell Williams. This time with a brand-new version of the NMD collection: the Pharrell Williams x adidas NMD S1 MAHBS 'Oatmeal Pink'!
In January, the Pharrell Williams x adidas NMD S1 MAHBS was introduced in Oatmeal and Blue colors. These first variants utilized the rugged sole of the adidas S1. This was combined with a two-tone finish and a canvas upper.
The inspiration for this silhouette was based on the search for an alternative way to convey Pharrell's love for humanity. “MAHBS, especially its naming, provides an additional opportunity to be the expression of a community,” Williams says. “However, we want to use these expressions for positive purposes, like positive propaganda.”
Continuing this approach, the newly unveiled 'Oatmeal Pink' colorway dominates most of the soft brown upper. Next, pastel pink embellishes the 'Humanrace' text that wraps around the midfoot of the shoe and the colour squares on the heel. Other striking features of this trainer include the two-tone thick gel sole with Boost cushioning and traction teeth on the outsole, as well as plugs in the midsole. The finishing touch is provided by the embossed Trefoil logo.
At the moment, adidas has not revealed any information about the release date of the NMD S1 MAHBS 'Oatmeal Pink'. But stay alert for updates! We expect this trainer to be available via adidas and selected retailers in the coming weeks.
