The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 'Pure Platinum' - The Next Wave has a release date. In recent weeks, we already saw the second sneaker from the Patta x Nike - The Next Wave collab pass by and now the AM1 has an official release date. The 'Pure Platinum' will be released on August 26, 2022 at 1pm sharp.
After the great success of the Patta x Nike 'The Wave' collaboration in 2021, the streetwear brand is releasing two new colorways of the Air Max 1 model in 2022. On October 8, 2021, the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 'Monarch' was released. This was the first of a series of four that were all released under the name 'The Wave'.
In 2022, a new colorway of the Air Max 1 surfaced, the 'Dark Russet'. Like the sneakers from the 'The Wave' collab, the new Air Max has again the wavy mudguard and was reminiscent of the 'Rush Maroon'. Under the name 'The Next Wave' Patta now comes out with a second colorway; the 'Pure Platinum'.
The 'Pure Platinum' has a white colorway. Like the previous colorways, this sneaker has a Metallic Silver upper. The upper is made of mesh and the overlays are made of leather. The 'Pure Platinum' also comes with a wavy mudguard, this one is white. A mini Swoosh is stitched on the mudguard.
The overlays across the upper are coloured off-white. The midsole has also been given a slightly yellowed look, which gives the Air Max design its retro appeal. The Swoosh on the mid panel colours light grey and matches the upper. The tongue features Nike and Patta branding.

The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 'Pure Platinum' - The Next Wave drops on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 1pm sharp. The sneaker also comes with a matching apparel collection. This will be in the colours of the Air Max as you can see below. Besides the online release, the sneaker can also be scored at Patta in-store.
