The focus in the SS23 collection is on self-care and manifestation and is one for the family, as stated by the brand itself. The collection will be dropped at Patta on January 27, 2023.
Patta's SS23 collection comes with cheerful colors and patterns. The streetwear brand's roots are in Suriname, so the name Patta is also of Surinamese origin. Co-founders Edson Sabajo and Guillaume 'Gee' Schmidt are of Surinamese descent and are bringing their roots back in the new collection. The collection includes cardigans, pants, tracksuits, and accessories that all pay tribute to the Patta family.
The collection reflects the rich and diverse origins of Patta's collective identity, featuring techniques such as batik, shibori, crochet, wood block stamping, lino prints, tie-dye, and pencil drawings. Each item features the well-known Patta logo. A standout item from the collection is the bright pink tracksuit. The jacket features the Patta logo in white and the pants also feature an emblem.
The first drop of the Patta SS23 collection comes with knit hoodies, cardigans, and a baseball jacket. The artwork used in the collection inspires one to think positively and represents "hope, love and peace," as Patta states. "Sometimes we need to take it back to the heritage to stay connected and at Patta, we never underestimate the power of manifestation," Patta said.
