OVERKILL and adidas Originals team up for 'The Missing Link': a pack of two ZX models that bridges the gap between the ZX series and the Equipment line.
The adidas ZX 8000 Overkill shares the stage with the brand-new adidas ZX 8094 Overkill, and the latter makes an instant statement: it's the very first release of this hybrid model. Both pairs arrive in the same White/Onix/Equipment Green colorway.

The premise is simple but strong: what if ZX and Equipment had come together back in 1994?
The ZX 8094 Overkill answers that question directly. It combines ZX tooling with elements from the EQT Support 91, including the signature TPU cage on the upper. The ZX 8000 takes the opposite route, applying the Equipment color palette to the familiar silhouette.
Both pairs share the same details: a custom Torsion design and OVERKILL branding on the heel, insole, tongue label and the Torsion bar on the midsole. Each box also includes two extra lace sets and co-branded lace tags.

Release and availability
'The Missing Link' drops on September 26, 2026 at 11:00 AM, first in-store at OVERKILL Berlin and OVERKILL Cologne.
An online raffle runs from September 23 to 27, after which remaining pairs follow via the OVERKILL webstore on September 27 at 4:00 PM. The pack then rolls out via the adidas CONFIRMED app and a select group of adidas Consortium partners.
The adidas ZX 8000 Overkill retails for €140, the adidas ZX 8094 Overkill for €160, both in sizes 36 to 48 2/3. Keep an eye on our release calendar to stay up to date!
Both OVERKILL stores also host a temporary atelier featuring work from seven invited artists, and buyers receive a limited-edition art print on release day.
