Overkill and adidas are celebrating their 20th anniversary together. For this special occasion, the duo is releasing the '20th Anniversary Pack'. On March 23, 2024, the Berlin sneaker store Overkill and adidas are launching a joint pack consisting of four sneakers. We'll show you all the sneakers that are part of the pack - let's get started!
Overkill x adidas
The collection drops several iconic models: an adidas ZX 6000, an adidas EQT Guidance, and an adidas Spiritain 2000. You can also look forward to an additional, highly limited Friends & Family version, which will only be available in-store in Köln and Berlin.
The duo has specifically selected each of the four models and provided them with lots of details. Let's take a closer look at the sneakers!
adidas ZX 6000
The adidas ZX 6000 from the '20th Anniversary Pack' comes with an upper in shades of gray and white. High-quality materials such as nubuck leather and pinstripe mesh are used here. A highlight of this colorway is the blue used on the upper - this is the favorite color of Overkill CEO Marc Leuscher.
The decision was made in favor of the ZX 6000 to feature a rather underrepresented silhouette alongside the popular ZX 8000. Despite the visual reference to the original model, the material was upgraded to real suede to achieve a high-quality and less sporty look.
Further accents include the Overkill and adidas logos on the tongue, lace tags, heel, insoles, and even on the torsion bone of the outsole. The sneaker is also available with special Overkill lace tags and additional laces.
adidas EQT Guidance
The adidas EQT Guidance also comes with high-quality materials. Inspired by the X-series from 1992, this sneaker combines classic elements with futuristic highlights. The sneaker pays homage to the looks of the 90s - when Overkill wasn't even born yet.
The Overkill and adidas duo opted for the EQT Guidance because it is one of Overkill CEO Marc's favorite silhouettes. The model is particularly characterized by patterns on the mesh and nubuck and the different shades of grey.
A bright orange, which can be seen on the stripes, the heel, and the torsion system of the outsole, serves as a color accent. The tongue is decorated with the Overkill '20' logo and a modified adidas Performance logo. Inside the shoe is a 'The Best of Overkill' tag placed.
The model comes with three different pairs of lace tags as well as gray and orange laces. The insoles are decorated with the Overkill 20 logo and the modified performance logo. Both logos, the 20 and graffiti tag, are embroidered on the heel.
adidas Spiritain 2000
The third model, the adidas Spiritain 2000, presents itself in tech running style adds a futuristic touch to the pack, and is inspired by the currently popular Y2K running sneakers. The model comes straight from the adidas archives and also has such features: coarse mesh in cream white and overlays of performance nubuck in pure white. A bright green serves as a contrasting color and reflective 3M elements provide an edgy look.
The tongue and heel are adorned with the Overkill 20 and adidas Performance logo. There are also two pairs of extra laces in green and gray. The Overkill lettering adorns part of the material overlay, and the insoles feature the adidas Performance logo and the Overkill '20' graffiti tag.
Exclusive Friends & Family version
As already mentioned, there will be an additional and strictly limited friends & family version, which will be available exclusively in Overkill stores in Berlin and Cologne. You can find all the information about the in-store release here:
