Our favourite sustainable sneakers at adidas

It is more important than ever to think about the environment and our part in it. It is time for everyone to do their bit to improve the environment. Thankfully, more and more brands are making an effort to be sustainable. As a consumer, it is easy to take the first step; you can buy sustainable products offered by these brands.

adidas is one of these brands, the brand uses recycled materials. Furthermore, they produce items that are partially made of natural products. We have listed our favourite sustainable trainers at adidas. Together with us and adidas you can invest in our planet!

1. Stan Smith

This is a new design of the original Stan Smith. With this shoe, for example, adidas wants to realise its goal to use only recycled polyester from 2024 onwards. The trainer still has the iconic style but now comes with a vegan upper. Next to that, the sole is made of rubber waste.

2. Superstar

The original and popular Superstar has been updated with a vegan upper. The look and feel brings the shoe back to the past, but the material is a step towards the future. On the heel is a logo that refers to the fact that the sneaker is vegan.

3. Samba

The Samba used to be an indoor football shoe, but it is now also very common on the streets. The icon is made of imitation leather and therefore contains no animal materials. While the look remains exactly the same as the original.

4. ZX 2K BOOST 2.0

This trainer is made from production waste such as cut-offs and post-consumer residual waste. It is a sleek model that focuses on innovation. The BOOST technology in this shoe provides extra comfort.

5. Ozelia

The Ozelia has a futuristic look, which can be seen in the lines used. It also has an Adiprene sole, which makes you feel the comfort with every step. Just like the ZX 2K BOOST 2.0, the shoe is made of cut and post-consumer waste.

6. Continental 80

The Continental 80 is completely vegan, which means that the sneaker does not contain any animal-derived materials. It is a popular model, which was first seen in fitness studios in the 1980s, but has now made its appearance on the streets.

7. NY 90

These shoes are designed to have a minimalist look. This is especially visible in the white colour that is used. The upper of the trainer is made of at least 50% recycled materials.

8. Forum Bold

The first thing you notice on this trainer is the platform sole, which is also very comfortable to walk on. The colour that is used from the sole to the laces makes the trainer modern. The shoe is partly made of recycled material.
