Di'orr Greenwood, a professional skateboarder who also designs her own clothing and skateboards, has teamed up with Nike SB. The collaboration centres around two sneakers: the Nike SB Dunk High and SB Blazer Mid.
Di'orr Greenwood was born in the Navajo Nation in northern Arizona. You may know her from her skate teams, such as Patti McGee's OGBetty, Las ChicAZ, Propel Skate Academy, and Apache Skateboards. She also earns recognition for her unique native skateboard designs and, moreover, her talent for making flutes.
Her Navajo background is also the inspiration for the two Nike SB sneakers.

Greenwood's interpretation of the SB Dunk High features a composition of various materials and colours. For example, Turquoise Blue suede makes up the exteriors, both inside and out, overlaid by Rugged Orange panels placed around the trainer's collar, heel, and toecap.
And instead of the usual perforations on the toe box, they have integrated a star pattern. This pattern also reappears in the lacing system. They draw inspiration from astrology for this theme, and it's also evident on the Nike Swooshes. Here, they have embroidered the constellation of the Big Dipper.

While the SB Dunk High has a colourful look, the Di'orr Greenwood x Nike SB Blazer 'Black' features anthracite and dark grey tones. This subdued colour palette provides an ideal background for the flower pattern and wide wrap with detailed stitching.
In addition, the vulcanised rubber midsole is carefully designed with mountainous profiles, as a tribute to the landscapes that inspire Greenwood's art. On the heel tab of the right shoe, her heritage is honoured with the embroidered word 'DinƩ', referring to 'The People'.
