EKIN, Nike’s special ambassador program, is once again releasing its sneaker. The initiative, designed to bring together Nike’s most dedicated leaders, is assigned its sneaker every few years. This year, it’s the Air Jordan 1 Low.
This marks the first Jordan Brand sneaker within the EKIN program, following earlier models like the Dunk Low and the Bruin Low, a lesser-known silhouette from the brand. The Air Jordan 1 Low carries the theme ‘Never Not Working’, a nod to the strong work ethic of the program.
The sneaker features a color palette reminiscent of the famous ‘Shattered Backboard’ colorway, combining black, white, and orange. The slightly yellowed midsole and the weathered Swooshes on the mid-panel reference the hard work that EKIN, and in this case, its sneaker, represents.
Inside the tongue, the text ‘Never Not Working’ is placed. On the outside of the tongue is ‘E4L’, short for ‘EKIN for Life’. The EKIN logo also appears on the heel, next to the Wings logo, a nod to Jordan Brand.
The Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Never Not Working’ is exclusively distributed to EKIN members and is limited to 200 pairs.
