Nike unveils new Air Force 1 Tear Away

These days, new colorways of the Nike Air Force 1 are popping up almost daily. Now, a new colorway has appeared on the Tear Away version of the silhouette. What does tear away mean? And how does it work exactly? Read on to get all your questions answered!

Tear away is a popular effect from Nike that we have seen on multiple silhouettes. The effect gives the sneaker two materials on top of each other. The top layer can be ripped off/ cut away, revealing the bottom layer. In 2020, we have seen the Air Max 98 and some Air Force 1 colorways. Additionally, images surfaced in January of an Air Jordan 4 'Taupe Haze' that also features the tear away effect.

At first glance, the colourway features a white base, with a colour scheme of Fauna Brown, Arctic Punch and Pale Vanilla below. The toebox features 'Tear Here' to indicate where and how to tear. In addition, on the swooshes on the sides, there are scissors that make it clear how you can remove it. You also get a list that explains exactly how or what. On the tongue you will find signature Nike Air branding and underneath the silhouette runs a classic white mid and outsole.

An official release date has not yet been announced for the Nike Air Force 1 Tear Away 'Fauna Brown'. However, we can expect the sneaker in the coming weeks according to rumours.
